Install and first run
- Download the current installer from carryforge.net.
- Because the beta is not yet code-signed, SmartScreen may show “Unknown publisher”. Check that you downloaded from this domain, choose More info, then Run anyway only if you want to continue.
- Open League Client, then CarryForge. The desktop build can connect to the local League Client; a normal browser preview cannot.
- Linking a Riot ID is optional. Without it, draft/demo screens remain usable with labelled sample data.
Frequently asked questions
Does CarryForge choose or lock champions?
No. CarryForge never automatically accepts, picks, bans, locks or dodges and never controls gameplay. Pick recommendations are alternatives; you select and lock the champion in League. On your ban turn, the client ban tool uses a visible preview and confirmation.
What can CarryForge write to the League Client?
Visible manual actions can hover a champion and import the chosen rune page, item set or summoner-spell setup. A separate Settings option is off by default and, only after you lock a champion, may send one rune page and item set once for that lobby/champion. It never locks or changes the champion decision.
Does the HUD read game memory?
No. Optional HUD modules use Riot Live Client Data and remain read-only. CarryForge does not read process/game memory, inspect packets, log keystrokes or control mouse/keyboard input.
Is the League Client integration officially supported?
Riot documents the local League Client API but states that it is not officially supported for third-party applications. CarryForge discloses its use in the Riot Developer Portal and may change or remove affected features if Riot policies or endpoints change.
Why do I see demo data or missing live meta?
The beta labels and uses deterministic sample data when no Riot ID is linked or the hosted stats service/Riot API is unavailable. Full live service at scale depends on Riot production access.
Is the external AI coach available?
No external AI provider is enabled in the current public beta. The available performance view uses CarryForge’s rule-based coach. Any future external AI option would require updated disclosure, player choice and the relevant Riot/store review.
How do I unlink or remove data?
Unlink the Riot account in the app to remove the local link, or uninstall/clear app data to remove local preferences. For a server-data request, see the Privacy Policy and email support.
How do I uninstall?
Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → CarryForge → Uninstall.
